Project Purpose

The world of mixology started back in the 1920s during the Prohibition era. It was illegal to manufacture, sell, and transport alcoholic beverages in the U.S. Due to this, speakeasies started to pop up secretly for people of all genders and races to come mingle, watch live entertainment, and partake in mixed drinks.

As speakeasies were used as a place to get illegal alcohol, they quickly became more than just mixed drinks and live entertainment. It became a place of unity, allowing people of different backgrounds to come together and collaborate equally.

The coffee cocktail set’s purpose is to bring people together to collaborate and experience life together.

Design Goals

In my research, I found there was nothing on the market that specialized in liquor coffee. There were products to make coffee and products to make mixed drinks.

The goal of this project is to make an all-in-one collection where the user doesn’t have to have a lot of supplies and can make their morning coffee and their night coffee drinks

Gen - 3 Models

In the first-gen models, there was an electric kettle and a french press as two separate objects in the collection

After collaborating with people and revisiting my design goal I decided that there were too many objects in the collection when the goal was to minimize the number of objects a user would need. In the second-gen models, I designed an electric kettle and french press in one
